Written by Bob Flowerdew (with a name like that, how could he really chose any livelihood other than gardening?!), Britain's leading organic gardener, the book is a visual and informational feast. Flowerdew discusses growing (or foraging) produce and then offers tips and recipes for preserving the harvest, via canning, rendering into liqueurs, smoking, drying, cellaring and much more. Highly recommended!

*LOL* My book wishlist just keeps getting bigger!
looks amazing, do the uk gardens + recipes translate well to where you are? x
Smitten? Yes. His book is definitely going on the wishlist! Looking forward to getting planting. How about you, neighbor?
Another book to add to the list! I can't get enough of this stuff!
I've had his book "The Gourmet Gardener" in my collection for years ~ can't wait to add this one to the shelf!
elisa-the measurements are actually in u.s. & imperial units. i'm thinking that perhaps the book was purchased by a u.s. publisher and converted in the re-printing to measurements used in this country. even the oven temps are in farenheit! very u.s. user friendly.
This book is one of my favorites! Ordered it on a whim mid December and can't wait till spring to give the strawberry sponge cake (pg 101) a try.
This book looks incredible. It's totally on the list.
