With Nugget on the way, I've begun thinking about toys. Well, toys, cloth diapers, onesies, car seats, bassinets, and co-sleepers, not to mention a changing table, how the cats will handle the crying, whether or not the dogs will trample Nugget, what we'll name him, if we'll ever sleep again, and so. much. more. I am TOTALLY open to any and all suggestions for green-minded items for tots. If you're got 'em, bring 'em. I'm all ears.
Happy Memorial Day! I'm sending big love and snuggly hugs to my younger brother who's out at sea for 9 long months with the Navy! I like to think of him as being simply "On A Boat." Love you, Walkie!
If Walkie is reading this - thank you and thanks to all who serve!
ReplyDeleteAll I know is that my sister said that she and her husband were high on the baby for a week after bringing the first one home and didn't sleep that whole week.....
ReplyDeleteYour life will change quickly from here on out. Enjoy every minute.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels Walker - look forward to your return home.

Diaperswappers.com is a great website for buy/sell/trading used baby stuff and diapers. There are sooooo many different kinds of cloth diapers out there. By buying them used you can try out lots of different kinds before committing to one style. We mostly used bumgenius, but every baby is different.
ReplyDeleteI hope you got the article I sent you. I really liked the green toy featured that was the 'pebble like' necklace that mommy was wearing that served a dual purpose as a baby teether. Of course, I'm not sure how crazy I would be about putting something around my neck once the baby has covered it with teeth marks and saliva. Haha. Neat idea though.
ReplyDeleteThis is a little late, but the all-time lifesaver for us was a baby wrap...my daughter pretty much lived in it from birth to six months! She is a high-needs baby, and really couldn't settle unless someone was holding her. It was a real lifesaver, and we still use baby carriers all the time (and she's 15 months old). We had a Moby wrap, but you can also make your own for a greener version :). www.thebabywearer.com is a GREAT resource for baby wearing...if you haven't looked into it yet, this is a great place to start!
