One of These Things Is Not Like the Other

The Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas are laying!

They're little things, both the pullets and their eggs, but, oh, look at that blue!!!

  1. It's gorgeous!

I remember the day my easter eggers started laying -- I was over the moon! I still get a little thrill walking by the green and brown eggs on my counter.

    Enjoy!

(and now thanks to this post I will be walking around all day humming one of these things is not like the other ... ) ;o)

  3. Aw... All of my Auracaunas turned out to be roosters! I have no idea how to find these boys good homes and still don't have blue eggs!! You're so lucky!

  10. What a beautiful, soft colour. One of our new girls has just started laying, she's not an Aracuna but the different shade of her eggs adds beauty to the daily collection.

  12. sweet! I'd love to get a couple of those ladies myself, but we aren't really set up at the moment for chicks.... it'd be too tricky to do inside at the time and outside we don't have a space to keep them apart from our grown hens. Do you know where I could find some (blue wheaten ameracaunas) for sale as pullets? (I am in Black Mt)
