Ice, Ice Baby

It was 13 degrees in our forest cove this morning. With the windchill, according to NPR, it felt like it was a mere 3 degrees. This is weather not fit for man nor beast. Fortunately, we're gathered 'round the wood stove in the kitchen, all 5 cats, 2 dogs, Hubs, babe, and myself, staying snug and cozy, drinking hot coffee, nibbling on fennel/orange/nut biscotti, and click-clacking away on our laptops.

Hope you're toasty too, wherever you are. In fact, where are you? I'd love to know where in the world you folks come visit me from!

Tampa FL, cold here, there is even some ice, but nothing like yours. The weather is the only good thing about FL, after all.

Central coast of Florida here. Not quite as cold, but ice on my car this morning. Our best friends live in W. Asheville, and we get up there as often as we can. Five year goal is to move to the area!

Tucson, AZ. Our "winter" weather consists of 70 degrees and sunny! I would feel guilty about posting that except that I really do miss winter sometimes...and we swelter in extreme for 5 months out of the year. Now is the time of year for us to enjoy being outside. Hope you stay warm and cozy!

In Southwestern Ontario, Canada still waiting for a decent layer of snow but luckily the pond is frozen and the ice is smooth as glass.

hello,
I hail from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Our winters can get as cold as -30 degrees Celsius (-22 F? I think)
So hang in there, you don't have it that bad!
Luckily though, we have the chinook winds that blow through in the winter that are warm and will often melt the snow!

Northern Alabama. It was only 20 degrees this morning. We had a white Christmas as well which is the first time since we moved here. Chickens are not liking the snow though...:)

Sorry about passing that crappy weather on to you. In center of the Midwest, I'd have to say that I'm not sorry to see the negative windchill go, though.
