Come to think of it, this might be part of my resolution: Instead of anonymously taking advantage of your creativity, your ideas and your way of life as you share it on your blog - which is what I do for quite some time now - I'd like to take the opportunity and thank you for providing this great source of inspiration. Your blog is a place I go to regularly: somehow it always makes me happy and helps me keep my faith in humanity (this sounds a bit pathetic, but I don't know how else to put it :-) Thank you!

I love how you put this. If you have time, would love to hear more in your future blogs about more of the specific things you're doing as a mom to be green and how much the waste is increasing and what you're doing - seems like there's always a new mom who could use your wisdom :) congratulations again on your new beautiful life and happy 2011!!
Isn't it amazing how parenting changes your thoughts about EVERYTHING!? I was already pretty eco conscious but once I had my daughter I learned about cloth diapers, made my own wipes, started participating in baby clothes swaps (looking for all natural materials) and really took a very hard look at how I was eating and what I was putting on my body....Its amazing how deep the rabbit hole goes but in the end you are leading by example and I think that will go a long long way...People always think I'm nuts for spending the "extra" money on organic, actually all natural materials this that and the other thing. But I look at it as an investment on many levels. Our health, our future....its these "little" things that make a big difference...The hardest thing I find though, is how to let other people know this is the way you choose to live and its not that you don't appreciate the 100% polyester hat and glove set, the Dora the explorer t-shirts or the toxin laden plastic baby doll, but that you are trying to avoid these things... I still have no answer and maybe never will, but thats one of the hardest parts of choosing to live this way...But it is most certainly worth it!

I'm not a mom yet, but I hope it be in the next few years... I am definitely interested in learning more about being green with babies. When the time comes, I will certainly head down the greenest path possible, but I'm always interested in learning more. Thanks for all of you information and inspiration
