

May your weekend be grand, wherever it takes you. It's supposed to be over 50 degrees F here tomorrow, which, compared to the temperatures we've been shivering through, will feel like an absolute heat wave. I've no doubt there will be folks out in town in shorts. People really like to milk the warmer winter days around here...

i LOVE the urban homesteader book!!! also i'd throw in 'this organic life'...
I've read a couple of these...my favorite being The Dirty Life. I could not put it down, and was so sad to be reading the last page. I wanted more!
aimee-yes! joan dye gussow is a personal heroine. read "this organic life" about 5 years ago and loved it!
I just finished Depletion and Abundance: Life on the New Home Front by Sharon Astyk, which I would really recommend. Made me glad I know a little about canning and beekeeping!
