Ice Age

The frozen precipitation from the snowpaclypse that occurred 4 weeks ago tomorrow is still on the ground out here. FOUR WEEKS! I find it pretty and poetic and light-reflecting and all of that, but, well, I'm pretty ready for it to move on. My winter garden is still blanketed under, the chickens want their yard back, and I'd like to not worry about breaking my neck on the icy path to the coop each morning.
Not whining, just sayin'...

Your house/homestead is beautiful. We had a good deal of melting today in Black Mountain, so I'm optimistic for the weekend.

If it makes you feel any better we've got our standard 3' snow banks still and are still expecting some good -40C windchill spells yet this winter?

It's nice to have had a couple of warmer days, and it looks like we'll have a few more - but I'm expecting to see white on the ground until true spring! :)

Ha! Snow melting, I wish. We have about 30" of snow on the ground and it is not going anywhere until spring. I'm sure we will even double the amount by then. It is nice to think about the garden and warmer thoughts though.

What a great garden layout!
I have to say it's 59 today and maybe the rest of what's left of the snow will melt. You'll have the season of mud before you know it!
