From last night. I think we're up to around 9" right now, with the possibility for more before sundown. Power's on, though, the wood stove is roasting, sipping a latte, working on the sixth chapter in "Keeping Bees." So far, so good. *It's hard to capture a still photo of dogs who enjoy snow as much as mine. Dexter practically squealed with delight when we let him out (there's a reason one of his many, many nicknames is "Pig"). At least some members of our household appreciate the white fluff for just what it is.

We live in New England so I know snow can be a destructive pain sometimes, but gosh those photos are just so beautiful!!

Yep, Jessie, dumped on again! And just after the Ladies' yard had finally melted clear from last month's snow.
They're not ga-ga about it, but they seem fine. I'm giving them extra corn and grit and treats like currants and leafy greens. They're hanging out in the hen house, griping about the snow in their yard, but only pretty benignly, like grounded teenagers. I think they're just bored.
Such a beautiful scene of snow you have captured. Living on the Front Range of Northern Colorado, I know how heavy snow can be, and you captured it perfectly.
