Mary Jane's Farm Food Day

It's coming up, folks! In just three weeks from today, I'll be in St. Paul, Minnesota, teaching a class on making, and canning, jam as part of Mary Jane's Farm Food Day at The Creative Connection Event.

Hope to see some of you there! Hubs and Huxley are coming, too. I've never been to Minnesota before, so if any of you have suggestions for places to visit or eat at for the fellas while I'm at the conference, I'd love to hear them!

Welcome to St. Paul! Great suggeestions so far... Brasa has a St.Paul and Minneapolis location -- family style and kid friendly. It is lovely.
My son really enjoys the MN Zoo (~25 min from downtown St. Paul). There is so much to do. Farmer's Market on Saturday and Sunday mornings in St. Paul...

I also recommend Brasa -- it's close to downtown. The farmer's market is definitely fun to check out. There are some nice lakes in minneapolis with great trails for walking around. Heartland is a really nice restaurant right near the farmer's market in St Paul -- they use a lot of local ingredients, pretty upscale but I believe they do weekend brunch... I'm looking forward to the conference, too. I've never been to anything like this before but I'm glad to have the opportunity since it is here in St Paul.

Como Zoo and the MN Children's Museum are not to be missed kid destinations, even for babies!

Welcome to our fair state :) The Happy Gnome is a favorite of my husband and I, located in the Cathedral Hill Neighborhood of St. Paul. It has great food, drinks, and a wonderful patio w/ a big stone fireplace.

Mill City Farmer's Market, tour the Guthrie Theater...for free, and definitely walk around any of the lakes; however, I'm partial Nokomis and the planes flying overhead. Also, if you like beer, drink a Surly. Have fun!
